Last night I let Ben cry it out. I couldn't stay up any longer. I was exhausted from 3 nights in a row of no sleep. Between he and Lily, I was just done. DONE I tell you.
So I put him to bed at 7:30. He woke at 11. I nursed him and put him back down. He woke at 12:30 and I didn't go in. He whimpered and cried off and on for a while. Finally I fell asleep. I have no clue how much longer he cried....I do feel bad about that. BUT he survived and his Momma will be in a better mood because of it!
Lily must have slept all night too as I don't recall her waking. I think I got at least 6 hours of uninterrupted sleep. That felt great!

Hi Liz! Thanks for stopping by my blog. :)
I hear you about CIO. It made me feel like such a 'bad parent' the first time....but then I actually got some sleep and it made me a much better parent the next day. We're finally down to waking up only once/night. yippee!
Good for you! That's the way to train them! It's hard at first, but soon he'll stop waking at that time.
I came from Pennies in my Pocket looking for your Self-Esteem Sunday post. I think this qualifies! Good job Mom!
Wow you have many interesting blogs. But I like this one the most lol.
So this is how it's like to be parents. Ah, I told my boyfriend all the time that we should save some troubles and just live happily ever after without the children. He's not convinced tho.
As mom to another 6-month-old boy who isn't sleeping through the night (not even close!), I'd love to hear how the CIO is going, now 5 days later. Fruitfully, I hope! (I've just started with letting mine cry for 5 minutes before picking him up...the wimpy woman's version.)
